Maintenance Manager

At Emerald Stay, our on-site team, which the Maintenance Manager belongs to, is the key point of contact for our guests throughout their stay. We are looking for a sharp, competent, and proactive person to join us. You would be reporting to our Head of Field Operations for France. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct some maintenance work in our properties, in the French Alps:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance, such as tightening door handles, cleaning drains, and replacing light bulbs.
- Reactive maintenance, such as fixing a broken door.
- Coordinate some maintenance work with external contractors: electricians, plumbers, painters, etc.
- Help us build our maintenance offer to homeowners so that we quickly reach profitability on maintenance operations.
- Help us build our maintenance team in the Alps which you will be overseeing ultimately.
- Develop the maintenance expertise of our on-site team: train them on simple maintenance tasks, and create internal tutorials on maintenance for all.
- Conduct regular inspections of our properties, reporting of any technical problems encountered, advise on and coordinate necessary interventions.
- Monitor a maintenance plan for each property: complete coordination and monitoring of specialized interventions as well as regular interventions by our partners for snow removal, gardening and cleaning of common areas.
- Maintenance and compliance with regulatory safety procedures and mandatory checks on various installations (fire extinguishers, chimneys, etc.).
- Cost control and cost management.
- Optimization of energy consumption.
- Other possible tasks, such as manual snow removal of jacuzzi covers.
Depending on the seasonality as well as your bandwidth, skills and interest, you may be involved with other projects, in the respect of your qualifications.
KEY INFORMATION ON THE POSITION
- Position based in Haute Savoie, close to any of our destinations in the area (in order of preference: Morzine, Les Gets, Chamonix, Les Houches, Argentière, Megève, Saint-Gervais, Les Carroz d’Arâches, Châtel).
- Regular travel to our destinations in Haute Savoie, in Savoie, and in Isère (one day per week, on average), and possibly from time to time to Verbier in the Swiss Alps (once or twice a year, at most).
- A work vehicle will be provided.
- Workdays vary, we work in hospitality.
- Employment start: preferably at the beginning of September.
- Employment type: full-time permanent contract (39h/week).
